Favorite Dish in India from Different States
In India, every state has its own specialty for
eating, dressing, and language. Every state has its own flavor and taste.
During our tour, we must know the specialty of every state so we can have
special dishes as a specialty. Listing the statewise famous dishes which we
must taste once:
- Andhra Pradesh: Pootharekulu - Popular dish from Andhra Pradesh. This is a sweet dish. prepared along with rice flour, ghee, and sugar. This is wraps in a thing paper along with cooked rice items. This served along with groundnut or peanuts.
- Arunachal Pradesh: Thukpa
- Thukpa is boiled basically noodles, filtered, and mixed with vegetables
and meat items. A very simple dish prepared with mixing spice
ingredients.
- Assam: Papaya
Khar - Papaya Khar is the Assam local dish prepared in a completely
different manner. It is a combination of rice, row papaya, and Khar. Khar
is a different kind of liquid prepared with various different ingredients
locally available and a sundries banana skin, papaya, and groundwater. Mix
all and cook properly. This taste is a different but famous local dish.
- Bihar - Litti Chokha - A very famous dish from Bihar. Litti is prepared with wheat flour and grilled after making the round balls. Sometimes we can infill some ingredients as per choice. Chokha is mixed with Brinjal and potato cooked along with a mixture of various other spices. The superb dish must taste it.
- Chhattisgarh: Chila - It is also a famous and
simple dish from Chhattisgarh. It is prepared with rice flour and mixed
with cucumber, coriander onion and prepared on Tawa. IT will be served
with sauce or chutney.
- Goa: Fish
Curry - Awesome, if you are in Goa must taste it. Fish curry
prepared with a variety of fishes align with curry. Curry is the specialty
of fish curry. IT is prepared with various spices mixed in proper
proportion and served along with bread and rice.
- Gujrat: Dhokla - A very famous dish Dhokla
from Gujrat. It is prepared with a basis in a special manner. It is served
along with Imli chatni. Supervp must have breakfast. The taste of Gujrati
Dhokla is awesome. Must taste without fail.
- Haryana: Bajre Ki
Khichdi - A
healthy and very tasty food from Hariyana. IT is prepared along with
Bajara, pure ghee, chopped green chili, and onion. A simple dish but very
popular.
- Himachal Pradesh: Dham - Dham is a special dish
from Himachal. It is prepared with green lentil, Rice, red beans, and
curd. It is served along with tamarind and jaggery chatni. The very good
dish served in breakfast or lunch. Must taste it.
- Jharkhand: Dhooska - Dushka is a popular
deep-fried snack eaten all over Jharkhand with love. The main ingredients
of the dhooska are powdered rice, chana dal, and sometimes boiled potatoes
are also added to this savory dish. The bread is then deep-fried till it
looked little dark brown. It is often served with any tomato sauce or
chutney as per taste.
- Kashmir: Rogan Josh - Rogan Josh is a famous non-vegetarian dish from Kashmir. It is an aromatic lamb dish. preparation of Rogan Josh with a mixture of various spices and meat of lamb. Specialty is the preparation of curry with all ginger, garlic, and chili, etc. It is served along with bread and rice.
- Madhya Pradesh: Bhutte Ka Kees
- A famous dish from Indore Madhya Pradesh. A very simple dish prepared with boiled corn along with spices like ginger, turmeric chilies etc as per taste. This is famous street food in Madhya Pradesh now it is available everywhere.
- Maharashtra: Mishal Pav: Mishal is a combination of
various sprouts as per the taste. It is a Maharashtra specialty and easily
available in local hotels. Preparation of Misal is a special job. the
proper proportion of masalas and then eat with bread known as Pav.
Usually, the curry of misal is the main attraction of this dish.
Generally, the public use to have more and more curry align with Pav.
Missal is served along with chopped onion, butter, and lemon.
- Manipur: Kangshoi
- Kangshoi is a soup type dish. It is prepared with seasonal vegetables,
coarsely chopped onions or spring onions, dried or fried fish pieces, and
water. Local people use the locally available fish for this dish.
- Meghalaya: Jadoh - Jadoh is a red rice dish basically prepared along with pieces of pork meat in the required quantity. Sometimes people can mix the chicken or fish pieces. It is prepared with a mix of all the required spice and mixed properly and serve with gravy, chatni, or eggs.
- Mizoram: Misa Mach
Poora - A
very famous and simple dish from east India. The taste is awesome and
easily available more than the people like which love seafood. It is prepared
with grilled shrimps on banana leaves. Spice can be added as per the taste
required. It can be served along with the main dish.
- Nagaland: Pork with
Bamboo Shoot:A
simple non-vegetarian dish. As indicated by the name cook with pork meat
and Bamboo Shoot. Bamboo shoots are easily locally available.
- Odisha: Chenna Poda - Chhena Poda is a cheese dessert from the Indian state of Odisha. It is a sweet dish and prepared from fresh cheese. Chhena Poda literally means Roasted Cheese in Odia. It is made of well-kneaded homemade fresh cheese chhena, suji, sugar is baked for several hours until it browns.
- Karnataka: Bisi Bele Bath - Bisi Bele Bath is famous
from Karnataka. The dish is prepared in which the sambar dal and rice are
cooked together with tamarind and spice powders as per taste.
- Kerala: Appam- Appam is a south Indian
dish from Kerala. It is prepared with fermented rice batter, coconut milk
as a pancake. This is commonly served in all parts of south India. This
dish is served with sambhar or with coconut chatni.
- Punjab: Makki Di Roti
& Sarson Da Saag -
This dish is traditionally famous in Punjab. Saag prepared some special
traditional manner with corn roti topped with butter. As a tradition along
with Makki ki roti and saag Punjabi provide a glass of lassi. Lassi is a
sweet drink with the required flavor. In Punjab, this is really the best
choice to have this dish and it is really awesome.
- Rajasthan: Dal Baati
Churma -
Dal baati is popular in Rajasthan. Baati is prepared with wheat flour and
grilled it. Dal is common as gram or mug as per the requirement. This dish
is served along with lemon and onion with some dried chatni.
- Sikkim: Momo
- This a prepared with rice flour infilled with delicious
ingredients. Infill material will be chopped garlic, with mixed
vegetables, panner, etc. sometimes people can infill non-vegetarian
material like chicken meat also. Then it can be steamed, or tandoor as per
requirement. sometimes we can infill chocolates.
- Tamilnadu: Pongal - Pongal is a vegetarian
dish prepared with rice lentil dish. This prepared along with rice, milk,
and sugar along with other ingredients. It is a light dish easy to digest
and taste.
- Telangana: Biryani - Biryani everyone knew this
name. Varieties with a taste of various ingredients as required for taste
mixed with rice. Very Known dish Hyderabad biryani a world-famous. It is
prepared with rice and different spices as per demand and taste. It cooked
in a different way with steam. Must taste it if you are in Hyderabad
Telangana. Biryani can be vegetarian and non-vegetarian with chicken or
meat.
- Tripura: Chakhwi - Chakhwi is
the very traditional and very delicious and healthy preparations of the
Tripura cuisines. The main ingredients required to prepare chakhwi are
Bamboo shoots, Green Papaya, and verities of lentils as per taste.
- Uttar Pradesh: Tunde Ke Kebabs - Tunde Ke Kabab, also known
as Buffalo meat galouti kebab. It is a dish made out of minced meat which
is popular in Lucknow, India. It is part of Awadhi cuisine. It is said to
incorporate 160 spices. It is served wit onion and chatni.
- Uttarakhand: Kafuli - Kafuli is a famous dish
from Uttarakhand. This will be prepared using spinach, fenugreek leaves,
garlic, ginger, green chilies, curd, rice paste, and a mélange of spices
in proper proportion as per the required taste. Kafuli is commonly served
with chapattis or steamed rice as the main course.
- West Bengal: Kosha Mangsho - Basically this is a non-vegetarian dish. Kosha Mangsho prepared with spice and mutton curry. The spicy dish can have in lunch or dinner as per requirement. Normally it is served with bread and rice. Special preparation is the specialty of this dish.
