National parks are the national treasure in any country. The oldest national park in India is Jim Corbet National park in Uttarakhand.  there are only five national parks in India. But after 1972 when Wildlife Sanctuary Act implemented there were many areas under observation to protects Tigers. As of now, there were 105 National parks are in India. 

   1. Hemis National Park: Established:1981 Area: 4400Sqkm Location: Jammu Kashmir


     Hemis National Parks is the biggest national Park in Jammu Kashmir. Hemi is also a high-altitude         National Park in Laddakh Union Territory. This national park is globally eminent for snow leopard.       Here Blue Ship, Red Fox, Great Tibetan Sheep, Ladakhi Urial, and other rare fauna can perceive             easily.  The nearest airport is Leh and the Best time to visit in Oct. 

   2. Desert National Park: Established:1981 Area: 3162Sqkm Location: Rajasthan


      Desert National Parks is situated in Rajasthan, near Jaisalmer.  This national park is globally                    eminent for birds. Birds like Great Indian Bustard, falcons, eagle, buzzards, kestrel, chinkara,                 and vultures are the rare fauna that can be seen easily.  The nearest airport is Jaipur and Best time to        visit in winter. 

   3. Gangotri National Park: Established:1981 Area: 2390Sqkm Location: Uttarakhand.


     Gangotri National Parks accessible through Uttarkashi. Dehradun is the nearest railway station &            airport to reach Gangotri National Park. Aprial to September is the best time to visit the forest.

    4. Namdapha National Park: Established:1983 Area: 1985Sqkm Location: Arunchal Pradesh


       Namdapha National Parks is Arunachal Pradesh, in Changlang district.  This national park have             1000 floral and 1400 faunal at the entire area. It is reach biodiversity location of Himalayan range.          Mohanbari is the nearest airport to reached the national park. 

5. Khangchendzonga National Park: Area: 1784 Sqkm Location: Sikkim..... 


Khangchendzonga is the worlds tired highest peak situated in this forest. This is first biosphere UNESCO world heritage site. In this forest we can see glacier, lakes, many special species, animals, mixed culture so it called as biosphere site. Many mammal species including musk deer, snow leopard, Himalayan tahr, dhole, sloth bear, viverrids, Himalayan black bear, red panda, Tibetan wild ass, Himalayan blue sheep and are the rear specialty of this national park.  


6. Guru Ghasidas (Sanjay) National Park: Establish 1981, Area: 1440Sqkm Location: Chhattisgarh/ Madhya Pradesh.....  


Also known as Sanjay National Park. Sanjay National Park situated in Chhattisgarh & Madhya Pradesh. Sidhi is the nearest district and nearest airport is the Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh. Bengali Tigers, Sambhar, Nilgay, Deers and many other animals can be spotted in this forest area.

7. Gir Forest National Park:  Establish 1984, Area: 1412Sqkm Location: Gujrat..... 


Gir National park located near Junagarh district. It is easily approachable from Rajkot Gujrat. Gir Forest is known for the patrolling of the asian tigers in open sky. This national park famous for Lions, Leopord and deers anyone can seen them easily under the safe custody of guides. Aug to Apr is the correct time to enjoy the national park.

8. Sundarbans National Park: Establish: 1984, Area: 1330Sqkm Location: West Bengal.


Sundarban situated in west Bengal & some parts also Bangladesh.  It is dense, largely spread in the Ganga delta area, Sundarbans is the home town of Bengali tigers, saltwater crocodile, and gang Delphine. In 1987 is declared as a UNESCO world heritage site. Kolkata is the nearest airport to reach this forest area. 

9. Jim Corbett National Park: Establish: 1936, Area: 1218Sqkm Location: Uttarakhand


Jim Corbett is a well-known and oldest wildlife sanctuary in Uttarakhand.  It is located between the Nanital and Tihri Gadwal District. Mainly it is famous for Bengal Tiger, Elephant Safari, Jeep Safari, etc.  It is a dense forest with around 73% area covered with forest. Ramganga Dam constructed in the forest area and it emerges 80 sqkm lands. Due to this, there is a massive reduction in the Hog Deer population. July to Sep is the best time to visit this location to enjoy nature and wildlife.


10. Indravati National Park: Establish: 1975, Area: 1258Sqkm Location: Chhattisgarh


Indravati National Parks is 1oth largest national park in Chhattisgarh. It is situated on the bank of the Indravati river so its name is Indravati National Park. It is eminent for rare wild buffalos now only a few are available. Mainly wild water buffalos, chital, barking deer, nilgai, and gaurs can be easily perceived. Raipur is the nearest airport. It is near Jagdalpur in Baster District. The best time to visit this are is Dec to June.
